General information and conditions of low cost carriers

Also called low budget/low cost airlines (LCA)
These airlines focused on transport of their clients from one point to another for lowest price, regardless of lower quality of additional service.
In any case such airlines are not companies which operate their flights by eliminated planes.
Low cost airlines are the main customers of plane producers like Airbus Industries or Boeing.
There was a liberalization o fair-transport market in Europe in 1997 where EU legislation enabled LAC forwarders to operate on the market. Czech Republic as non EU member in 1997 was the most helpful to LAC forwarders.

Where do get low cost forwarders their prices from?

• there is no flight ticket needed, no printing of flight tickets
• their flights are not available to book in common reservation system. Reservations are available on the internet , usually for reduced price (or through agency).
• they have no company branches abroad
• they do not pay for any expense cause by flight delay
• they do not offer any sales (for children, groups, infants only)
• they do not offer free refreshment aboard of aircraft

Prices of low cost forwarders (LCA)

LCA sell every flight separately. A passenger can only buy one-way ticket to requested destination and than continue her/his flight with another forwarder. A passenger can safe her/his money by such travelling because regular flight rates might be much more expensive.

For certain amount of passengers on certain flight there are extremely low prices available. Any extra seat is also possible to buy for interesting price. The cheapest seats are sold first, than other seats until entire flight is sold.

Group flights with LCA

Most of LCA forwarders do not offer a group flights.

Children up to 2 years- infants - have no claim to have their own seat

Last moment - no "last moment " cheaper prices available from LCA forwarders

There is no possibility of a reservation only, you have to book your flight and pay for it at once.

Flights from LCA forwarders are mainly available through internet. You can only pay by your credit or debit card. Tickets are also available at airports where LCA forwarder operates or in their agency.

No flight tickets available from LCA- they are supplied by a confirmation of reservation only.

You can change your reservation , but these changes are not free of charge. In any case they will be cheaper than changes of reservation made by regular forwarder.
Additional fee cause by difference between paid price and actual price are also requested (same as with regular forwarder). Return of fare is not possible.

If travellers continue their journey, it is necessary to pick up their luggage and than go through check-in process again.(It means you need to count with approx. 3 extra hours to change your flight.
